NCERT says steel is more elastic than rubber, but rubber stretches so much and returns. What am I missing?
I'm colour-coding the Mechanical Properties of Solids chapter and I hit a statement I can't reconcile: "steel is more elastic than rubber". But rubber stretches a lot and comes back, while steel hardly stretches at all.
