- How to write your first blog post (from someone whose first one was spectacularly bad)
Honest rant: I thought the more big words and long sentences you use, the more serious and smart you look. My teacher always gave better marks for fancy language. So now you're telling me to write like I talk? Also my first post will have 3000 words, that's like, more value right?

- Limits: I can solve them, but epsilon-delta feels like a magic trick. What am I missing?
no wait, that's the thing it's NOT about. take $(x^2-1)/(x-1)$ at $x=1$. It's $0/0$, not even defined there. But the limit is 2 because for every other $x$ it equals $x+1$. That's why the definition has "$0<|x-a|$": it deliberately ignores $x=a$ itself. Limit is about what happens *near* $a$, not at $a$. For nice functions like $x^2$ it happens to match $f(a)$ (that's continuity).

- The worst study hacks I ever tried, written as memes you have to imagine
"the shelf is doing well in its studies" is going on my wall. also the seven-colour kinematics is a crime and I want to see a photo

- Geostationary satellite height fixed kyun hai, only over equator, and are astronauts really at zero gravity?
ok that blew my mind, still 90% of g and they float anyway. free fall is such a good explanation. and good to know about polar satellites too, i said "space has no gravity" for years lol

- Geostationary satellite height fixed kyun hai, only over equator, and are astronauts really at zero gravity?
A thing which helped me, geostationary isn't the only kind. NCERT also talks about *polar* satellites: they go around at a few hundred km height (low, so fast) in an orbit passing near the poles, with a period of about 100 minutes, and as the Earth turns beneath them they scan the whole surface. Used for remote sensing and weather pictures. Geostationary ones, being very high and fixed over one spot, are used for communication and TV. Same gravity, different radius, so different period. Yash if you remember only one line, remember that period is decided by the radius.

- Which easy songs should a complete beginner guitarist learn first?
yeah. and slow is the trick, everything feels slow at 60 until you try to actually change chords on time. you'll see

- Which easy songs should a complete beginner guitarist learn first?
Seconding sara. Also the "Horse With No Name" thing: it's basically two chords, Em and a weird one (D6/9) that you can play with one or two fingers. Two chords! Great for training strumming and not feeling like a failure. And it sounds actually nice. On speed: use a metronome app, set it to 60 BPM, and strum one down per click. When that feels dull, do two per click. Boring but it works.

- Want to start anime but every show seems to have 500+ episodes. Where do I begin?
both are fine. the dubs for these two are solid, and the Death Note English dub is well regarded. start with the dub if reading subs slows you down, switch later if you want. nobody is checking.

- I used an AI chatbot for my studies for a month. It never once said "I'm not sure."
lol same energy, mine confidently told me a reaction product in chemistry and I was like "this is why I hate this subject" and then it turned out the AI was the one who was wrong. small win for me

Death Note. Mind games, rules, cat and mouse, about 37 episodes, no filler. It's basically a game of chess played with a notebook. If you like systems, this is the one. Second: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, 64 episodes, the rules of alchemy are tight and the story is complete. No filler at all. Both have decent dubs.

- Mock se pehle dil zor zor se dhadakta hai, kya karu? (panic before mocks)
Honestly bro, Physics ka first question 12 baar padhna toh mere liye ek normal Tuesday hai. Par seriously, ek cheez jo mujhe pasand aayi: mock ko "practice" bol, result nahi. Result to asli exam ka hota hai. Mock me galtiyan hongi, wahi to uska kaam hai.

- Projectile motion shortcuts: is H = R tanθ / 4 legit? and why do 30° and 60° give the same range?
wait is max height also same at 45° since sin²45 = 1/2? or no

- My fingertips hurt for three weeks and I almost sold my guitar
the "who died??" from your brother is so accurate lol. my sister does the same when I'm testing synth patches at 11pm also fully agree on short sessions. I did 2 hour sessions in the first week and then didn't touch the guitar for ten days because my fingers were done

- The picture that made integration by parts stop feeling like a trick
bro. I have done this formula like 200 times and never knew it was just a rectangle. my maths sir literally says "ILATE and pray" which is not a method, it's a religion. saving this post

- Two trains crossing each other: when do I add speeds and when do I subtract? And the v_AB sign thing
Yeah my brain collapsed mid-sentence lol. Sum of lengths. Moving on.

- Two trains crossing each other: when do I add speeds and when do I subtract? And the v_AB sign thing
Your instinct is right so keep that. Here's the logic: pick one train as your "home", imagine you're sitting in it and watching the other. In (a) from train A you see B approach at $20+30=50$ m/s because they come from opposite sides. In (b) from B you see A moving away at $30-20=10$ m/s... actually that A "falls back" at 10 m/s relative to you. The overtaking is complete when the back of B passes the front... no wait, front of B passes the back of A... you need relative displacement of the sum of lengths.

- Mean free path: where does the √2 come from, and how does it change with temperature?
chemistry guy chiming in: this is the only part of physics that makes me feel smart. I think of a crowded railway platform. More people (n) and fatter people (d) = you bump into someone sooner. Doesn't matter how fast you walk, the crowd density is the same. 🙂

- Shapes of XeF2, XeF4, XeF6 and XeO3 by VSEPR, and why only xenon forms compounds easily
ok fine that actually makes sense, I hate that it makes sense 😤

- Shapes of XeF2, XeF4, XeF6 and XeO3 by VSEPR, and why only xenon forms compounds easily
XeF4: Xe has 4 bonds, so 4 bond pairs, like methane, tetrahedral, sp3. Done. Chemistry people overcomplicate everything.

- The anime that taught me what "one more attempt" actually looks like
tushar this is the first time i've seen someone write a coherent essay on haikyuu without spamming "BEST ANIME EVER". respect. my only complaint is you didn't mention the sound design, the squeak of shoes on a gym floor is basically a character. sports anime is just cardio for emotions.

- Physics problem solving is mostly checking your answer before you know it's wrong
the table at the end is clean. for chemistry I think the equivalent of limiting cases is "what happens when concentration goes to zero / infinity". I never used it, I'll try

- Boards vs entrance: same syllabus, two different exams
My boards chemistry is a disaster because I only practice for entrance-style speed and my written answers are terrible. Noted. Sigh.

- Beam depression formula has d³ in it: why are deep beams used, and why are I-beams and hollow shafts stronger?
bruh 2.25. the answer was sitting there and I guessed. thanks. also the neutral layer idea is the first time "obviously" was actually explained

- How did Davisson–Germer actually confirm de Broglie's wavelength at 54 V, and why can't we see a cricket ball diffract?
ahh so the peak at one angle is the evidence for waves. noted, and the 4x voltage halves wavelength thing is useful
20d ago
- How did Davisson–Germer actually confirm de Broglie's wavelength at 54 V, and why can't we see a cricket ball diffract?
Quick mental maths for MCQs: $\lambda\,(\text{Å}) \approx 12.3/\sqrt{V}$. So 100 V gives about 1.23 Å, 144 V gives $12.27/12 \approx 1.02$ Å, and 400 V gives about 0.61 Å. Also note the scaling: if you make the voltage 4 times, $\lambda$ halves ($\lambda \propto 1/\sqrt V$). These come up a lot as "ratio of wavelengths" questions.

- Does friction always do negative work? Also why is work zero when I hold a heavy bag still?
Holding a bag: in physics, work needs displacement. Your muscles do burn energy though because muscle fibres keep contracting and relaxing internally, so energy goes out as heat even if the bag doesn't move. Physics work on the bag is zero, but biology of your arm is a different thing. Same reason pushing a wall until you're sweaty gives you zero work on the wall.

- Chemistry for people who hate chemistry: bonding is just geometry plus laziness
so what = if the electrons on that carbon are held closer to the nucleus, then when the H leaves as H⁺ and the pair stays behind on carbon, that negative charge is more stable (the carbanion is happier). More s-character, happier carbanion, more acidic. That's the version I was told

okay THAT is the first exception that didn't make me angry
